In the darkness there is peace, there is ignorance. So many people want to close their eyes and ignore the reality of the world around us. There are hundreds and thousands of opportunities to positively affect those around us and the world. We refuse to acknowledge our faults, we blame others for failing and not seeing why we are right, we squeeze our eyes shut tight and hope that the world will get better without us having to take any actions at all.
How often do we pretend to 'take action' against anything when it is most often complaining with a group of friends about something? We watch other groups, other countries struggle and say we are glad that isn't us. But, is it not us because we refuse to acknowledge the serious flaws in our own system? Is it not us because we are unwilling, unable to make the sacrifices that it will truly take to make a difference in the world? Is it not us because we refuse to see?
