I fear there isn't any way a dream of peace is possible. Just within my own sphere of life I run into many people who have ignorant beliefs and bigotted views. These people work and live in the the local communities and this is only a very, very small sampling of people in general. While I consider myself to be a generally intelligent person, I am definitely not a scholar of worldwide or macro communal behaviors. I don't know if people can change just enough to let hope in, not negatively and permenently influence future generations. There are hundreds if not thousands of small, tiny groups which promote peace; this is fighting the billions of dollars invested by the governments to promote wars which only grows hatred and fear - the antonyms of peace.
It is only out of blind ignorance one human being can inflict pain and suffering upon another. If each time malicious harm was delivered the same action were applied to one's own family or friends there isn't any person on earth that would act against another. Take the consequence as a mental picture and try to attack another, you can't do it; in fact your approach, your actions, your willingness to help is completely different. You don't even think to act against, you think to act in favor of.
Remove the fear of difference; replace it with enlightenment.
