The world is such a place where armies no longer have to be built but we do anyway - most of the world is sane and we can communicate in an instant which should avoid stupid misunderstandings between governments - it's not the 1500's where it takes weeks or months for a message to travel back and forth and diplomats can start a war with the wrong words because they are isolated - yet governments still act as if world domination is necessary - it's a ridiculous thing in this day and age - instead of peacefully working together to advance humanities abilities and sustainability we have expansion struggles and war ships - sanity would require a combined force to police when some idiot thinks he/she needs to be a dictator and subjugate the surrounding geographical population - yes there is still conflict of ideas and thought and what makes the world better but that can all be diplomacy and combined ideas and using a system to end with the best ideas and protect ourselves from ourselves - how we, humans, impact the planet - how we give the planet back and plan for generations and centuries should be possible -I know there are groups both within and without governments that are doing this - it just isn't as visible as the dumbass political crap that looks like right wing arrogant I-must-be-more-militant-than-the-other kind of mentality that is short sighted and is ONLY done because of the arrogance and egotistical leaders who are for themselves and not for the people they serve. We have to put/elect people who have longer vision that are not there to advance themselves but to improve the world for everyone - humanity is so fragile - the ingrained and learned behavior of domination and fight and control and destroy anything different will take centuries to evolve away - it took millennia to get here - can we get out of the pattern faster - 100's instead of 1000's of years? - or will we devolve and not be able to pull ourselves out of the primordial soup we came from ?
